Pixi Beauty Skin Treats and Makeup Review

If you're a fan of Pixi beauty, you'll be glad to know that their new range has launched in Sephora Singapore! Known for their affordable yet natural and 100% cruelty free skincare line, Pixi by Petra beauty products are suitable for busy women who want the appearance of healthy, radiating, well-rested skin.

I've heard so much about their signature Pixi Glow Tonic, and in this launch, comes the Retinol Tonic, a potent youth-preserving tonic featuring unique time-release Retinol to help rejuvenate skin for a natural glow.

The lovely launch was held at CHIJMES, and the set-up was beautifully done. The founder of Pixi Beauty, Petra Strand was there to grace the event herself! I was particularly drawn to the Pixiglow cake, a light-diffusing palette which helps to achieve a naturally healthy, radiant complexion, as well as the H20 Skintint, an innovative, complexion-enhancing water-based gel tint gives a smooth, fresh-faced look that lasts all day.

Here are some of the NEW Pixi Beauty Skintreats:

Rose Ceramide Cream, $35 - This ultra-rich cream is infused with Ceramides and Rose Oil to deeply hydrate the skin, while antioxidant-rich botanicals improve skin elasticity. Personally, i have rather oily skin, and i find that my skin does not absorb rich creams well. Most times, I use a gel or water based moisturizer especially in Singapore. Despite that, I'm pretty sure i'll give this moisturizer another try whenever i travel to colder climates!

Retinol Tonic, $22 - This potent youth-preserving tonic features a unique time-release Retinol to help rejuvenate skin for a natural glow.

First of all, i love the smell of this toner, its very easy to use and somewhat refreshing . I used to incorporate retinol in my skincare routine previously and unlike most retinol products, i like how this toner managed to be lightweight yet infused with powerful anti aging ingredients.

Rose Glow Mist, $22 - Infused with 7 types of Rose Flower extracts and antioxidants, this lightweight mist helps to soothe and strengthen the skin.

Another one of my favourites! I use this rose mist whenever i need a moisture perk throughout the day and it works well over makeup.

Some of the other products I've tried:

Glow-y Gossamer Duo, $28 - A dual highlighter set for luminous skin.

The color i have here is in Delicate Dew, and its a pretty rose gold duo that is easy to blend and gives off a natural looking glow.

Flawless & Poreless Primer, $33 - A pore-minimising primer for blemish-free skin.

I was honestly quite impressed with this primer , my foundation managed to last on my oily face! Touch-ups were still necessary around my T-zone as usual, but its comparable to the other high end primers in the market. I also love the texture, easy to blend and creates a smooth canvas for makeup.

Matte Last Liquid Lip Lipstick, $21 - A liquid lip colour for healthy vibrant lips.

Other than the fact that i like the packaging, i was attracted to the color (Pastel Petal) when i first tried it on! It's the right shade of pink to dress up most makeup looks, without being too overpowering. The applicator is easy to use and the formula is creamy and didn't feel too dry even though its a matte finish. i like it so much that i used it during a shoot! See below:

Wearing Matte Last Liquid Lip Lipstick in Pastel Petal.

Liquid Fairy Lights Eyeshadow, $22 - A liquid eyeshadow for high-impact eyes.

Glittery eyeshadows are so in right now. Personally, i don't like packing a whole eyelid full of glitter, so i use this over any eyeshadow look I've created for the day, to add that pop to the eyes. It literally works with any color!

Here are some screenshots of how they look worn (these were taken off a video hence the low quality image)

Dab about 3-4 dots and use an eyeshadow brush or fingers to blend. You can even use it along the inner corners of your eyes.

And there you have it!

My first experience with Pixi Beauty products and I'm impressed on the overall.

i've read good reviews on their face and eyeshadow palettes too. Perhaps that shall be my next go to!

Till the next post!

xx

Esther
